3D printing prices in Saudi Arabia — by the numbers
This page is the result of a field survey of 3D printing service prices in the Saudi market: 117 provider responses, gathered by mystery shopping with one standardised quotation request, and presented here as aggregate figures — median, mean and range — with no provider names and no individual comparisons. The point is that a buyer should know what normal costs before they ask.
These are market figures, not a quote for a part. What any printed part costs moves with two things: the weight of material consumed and machine run time. Only 7 providers out of 117 in the sample state those two numbers at all — stating them itemised, before you pay, is what separates us from this market.
The gap
Seven of 117 state weight and print time together
The two numbers that determine what any printed part costs are material weight and machine time. Across the whole sample, 7 providers out of 117 stated both in their quote. The rest give a final figure with no breakdown, or ask for a conversation first.
Colour against single colour
The median multi-colour job is 190 SAR against 135 SAR for single colour — 29% apart at the median. The gap is real and has a physical cause: swapping filament at every colour change purges material that is cut off and discarded.
The spread is the story
The multi-colour range runs from 60 SAR to over 500 SAR for roughly the same job. A spread that wide means price in this market is not a clear function of the part — it depends on who you ask.
A pattern, not a rule
A general, imprecise pattern around 18 SAR per print hour
Looking at the sample as a whole, a general, imprecise pattern appears near 18 SAR per hour of printing. Stated plainly: the correlation is weak and the scatter is wide. It describes how the market behaves in aggregate; it is not a formula for costing a specific part, and anyone using it that way will be wrong.
Method
How these numbers were gathered
A single standardised quotation request was sent to each provider by mystery shopping — as an ordinary buyer, not as a researcher — and the first reply and its timing were recorded. Sample size 117 responses from the Saudi market. Survey period: May – July 2026.
- Figures are aggregate only. No provider names and no individual comparisons, on the page or in the structured data.
- The sample is not a random representative draw of the whole market — it is those who could be reached and asked for a quote.
- One standardised request does not represent every kind of order. The results describe this case, not every case.
- Prices move. This is a snapshot of the period stated above, not a current rate card.
- The survey was run by OMQ 3D, which competes in this market — read the figures with that in mind.
How OMQ 3D prices
We are in this market too, and we build the price from material weight, machine time, setup and finishing — itemised on a spec card before you pay, not after. That is our answer to the two numbers only seven of 117 will state.
